Thanks to researches and scientific experimentation carried out by renowned laboratories, at the end of last year the SARS-CoV-2 vaccine was developed. With the information that has been shared by different media, we know that there is more than one vaccine. You probably have questions, such as: What vaccines have been authorized in Mexico? Which are the principal characteristics of each one? and When and how can I get vaccinated?

Additionally, last February, Russia Gamaleya Centre´s Sputnik-V,SinoVac´s Coronavac and CanSino vaccines, the last two with Chinese origin, were authorized.For starters, last December COFEPRIS authorized the emergency use of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, while the first vaccine authorized this year was Oxford University´s AztraZeneca having performed and completed successfully all medical tests

Currently there are other vaccines in Phase III waiting to be registered in Mexico, such as Procter & Gamble´s Jannsen and Novavax vaccine. The Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México is also focusing its resources in developing a covid-19 vaccine.
Additionally, the Mexican government has implemented a vaccination plan.
